Family laughing together in a warm kitchen

Our Story

Rooted in Family. Built on Community.

Roots Community was born from a simple belief — that the best moments in life happen when people gather, create, and share something meaningful together.

Where It All Began

Roots began, as many of the most beautiful things in life do, around a kitchen table.

It began with three women, connected by family, a shared love of creativity, an appreciation for life's simple pleasures, and a dream of creating something meaningful together. A place where flowers, freshly baked bread, handmade creations, and the joy of gathering could come together under one roof.

Our story is deeply connected to the generations that came before us. Our roots are intertwined with the traditions, values, and memories passed down by our grandparents, whose home was always filled with warmth, generosity, and the simple pleasures of everyday life.

Our grandmother was the heart of the kitchen. She expressed her love through cooking and baking, filling the home with the comforting aromas of homemade meals and freshly baked bread. Her kitchen was always a place of gathering, where food was prepared with patience, shared generously, and enjoyed together. She taught us that food is much more than nourishment; it is a way of bringing people together and creating lasting memories.

Our love for flowers and floral design has also become an important part of our family's story. One of us has spent the past 26 years building a business and a life around flowers. Through years of designing, creating, and sharing the beauty of flowers with others, the inspiration for Roots began to take shape. The dream was to create something beyond a traditional flower business — a space where creativity, family traditions, baking, and meaningful experiences could all come together.

Together, the three of us began imagining a place that would reflect everything we cherish: the beauty of flowers, the comfort of homemade bread, the pleasure of making things by hand, and the warmth of bringing people together.

The name Roots carries a special meaning for us. It represents where we come from, the people who shaped us, the traditions we grew up with, and the values we want to carry forward. Just as roots nourish and support everything that grows, our grandparents' traditions continue to inspire what we create today.

We believe the most meaningful things in life are often the simplest: flowers gathered and arranged with love, bread made slowly by hand, a table prepared for guests, and conversations that make you forget about the time.

Roots is our way of honoring the past while creating something new for the future. It is a place where generations of traditions meet new ideas, where people can slow down, discover their creativity, learn something new, and connect with one another.

More than a business, Roots is a reflection of our family, our shared passions, and the memories that brought us here.

Three women. Generations of inspiration. One shared vision.

What We Believe

Slow down and make something.

In a world that moves fast, we think there's real value in slowing down to create something with your hands. Whether it's a loaf of bread or a floral arrangement, the act of making is grounding.

Gather around the table.

Some of the best conversations, friendships, and memories are made around a table. We design every experience to encourage that kind of connection.

Community is everything.

Roots isn't just a place to take a class. It's a community of people who love beautiful things, good food, and meaningful time together. We're building something that lasts.

Celebrate the everyday.

You don't need a special occasion to do something beautiful. A Tuesday afternoon with a friend, a weekend morning with flour on your hands — these are the moments worth celebrating.

Come Gather With Us
